Giza Governorate, is one of the governorates of Egypt. Its capital is the city of Giza, which was established in the year 20 AH with the Islamic conquest of Egypt. Giza Governorate is one of the three Greater Cairo governorates, along with the Cairo and Qalyubia governorates.

Giza Governorate is considered one of the strategically important governorates, as it connects Upper Egypt to Lower Egypt. It is also considered the only entrance to Fayoum Governorate and has the desert road for Alexandria Governorate. It is also a very ancient governorate and the tourist movement there is very active due to the presence of the most luxurious hotels and shops that sell souvenirs to tourists of all kinds.
National holiday
The National Day was March 31 on the occasion of the Shobak incident in 1919, but when the city of Badrashin moved to the 6th of October Governorate, March 21 became the National Day of the 6th of October Governorate. Engineer Sayed Abdel Aziz, Governor of Giza, announced that the National Day of Giza would be on November 7th of each year, as he confirmed In a press conference with professors of archaeology, the date of building the pyramids was the middle of the day on August 22, 2470 BC, adding: But we preferred to choose November 7 as a national holiday. 6th of October Governorate returned to become a city within Giza Governorate and one of the most important figures in the governorate/
