The Land of Golf: Egypt knew golf in its current form when the British entered Egypt in 1882. In 1886, the Khedive Sports Club was established, and the first 12-hole golf course was established in it. and the beginning of 1915. When Baron Empain arrived in Egypt in 1904, there were about six or seven golf courses in Egypt in Aswan, Helwan, Alexandria, the Khedive Sports Club (Al Jazeera Club), Mina House, and others. With the signing of the Heliopolis Company contract in early 1906, one of the first establishments that Baron Empain was keen on was the Heliopolis Club. Heliopolis residents practice sports such as tennis, croquet, polo and golf. At that time, the Scotsman James Hastie, a well-known golf player in his time, was supervising the Gezira Club golf course from 1902 and continued until 1922. Hastie also designed some sandy golf courses such as the Aswan and Helwan courses, so it was natural that Heliopolis asked him to design a course.
